If you had asked me 5 years ago whether I’d be making my own baby food, I woulda’ thought you Nutzo!
A) because I didn’t have a baby 5 years ago and
B) because who the heck makes their own baby food?
Actually a lot of people…and it’s easier than you think, especially when you make something healthy that you yourself would eat and feed it to your baby? Novel concept, huh?
And it’s especially easy when it’s a smoothie… just drip a few dollops in your baby’s bowl, in between your gulps of goodness.
Whipping up a green smoothie is a super sneaky way to get your baby’s ‘veggies on’. Remember spinach is a great source of iron and has NO TASTE when added to smoothies. And homemade smoothies are a helluva lot better than cold peas. Eeegghhhk.
Great smoothie recipes for you and your bebe:
Oatmeal Smoothie (if nut allergy, substitute water for almond milk)
Peach and Carrot Juice Smoothie
***REMEMBER TO NEVER SWEETEN SMOOTHIES WITH HONEY IF FEEDING A LESS THAN 12 MONTH OLD!***
Oh too cute! I was just going to email you as we are coming out to Portland August 19-25. Are you there? I must insist on a viewing of darling Pip (and of course you and Tommy) if only for a few minutes. Of course we would love to take you out to lunch/dinner/etc but I realize that may be hard.
Really missing you this summer – even Robin has only been by a few times. All is well in London too. Joseph is a total charmer.
Lots of love Jane

Aww! So cute! Heck, throw some peas in the green smoothie. Actually, peas are our new “Cheerio” finger food.
I like that! Was wondering what we ll use other than puffed rice/sugar pellets. Peas!
